Advance Reservations Required:  Call to apply and receive taxi scrips by mail The City of San Marcos provides free taxi scrips for city resident seniors (excludes Lake San Marcos), 60+, whose income is less than $50,000 per year and who have no other means of transportation. Only 2 booklets of $20 each, is allowed for each person, per month and must be used for medical appointments only. Taxi scrips can be used for taxi fare or driver tips. Booklets available are for Yellow Cab, Coach Cab and Courtesy Cab companies. Call Jerry LaFave at the City of San Marcos Senior Center to apply, 760-744-5535, Ext. 3605. You must allow enough time before your appointment to receive the taxi scrips by U.S. Mail.
