Transportation for clients only Advance Reservations Required:  First come, first served - sign up ASAP The Carlsbad Senior Center provides transportation for ambulatory seniors, 60 years and older, who cannot drive, and are residents of Carlsbad. Transportation to/from the center is available Monday through Friday for the Nutritional Lunch served at 11:30 AM. Clients may also stay after lunch on Tuesdays for Bingo or for a movie every 2nd Thursday. Transportation is available for 2 persons, per day, for medical, dental or other necessary appointments (excludes on-going therapy appointments) every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Appointments must be within the local service area which includes Carlsbad, parts of Encinitas, Vista and Oceanside. Appointments must be between 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM. Please call ahead to verify that the service area includes your destination. Transportation is also available to/from the Stater Brothers grocery store in Oceanside every Wednesday afternoon. Every first Thursday of the month, transportation is provided to/from either the local Trader Joe's or Wal-Mart. All transportation services require the client to fill out a transportation card in advance. Drop by the Senior Center at 799 Pine Ave, Carlsbad, or call to request a card via U.S. Mail. Proof of residency is required. Sorry, our vans are unable to accomodate large scooters at the present time. Van reservations must be made in advance, first come, first served for available space.
